UN Ambassador Susan Rice pushed back at the criticisms directed towards her by Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham. However, unlike her critics, she did so in a professional manner, and was more than civil. She explained to the world exactly what she said, why she said it, and upon whom she was quoting. She even commented on Senator McCain’s service to America, adding that she will always be proud of his service. One was left with impression of her being a seasoned diplomat, an intellectual giant, (Rhodes Scholar), and a very graceful woman. Even though she has been literally harassed by Graham and McCain, she has kept silent. After the Senate hearings and briefings, she may have been awaiting an apology. However, no apologies, or even a hint of an apology never came forth from the two senators. However, in the recent election, America chose President Obama, and for that reason, he ought to have the cabinet of his choosing, should he decide to nominate Ambassador Rice to be Secretary of State. And, anyone who agrees, should contact the White House and let President Obama know he has your support. Most of all, let Ambassador Susan Rice know as well. She did nothing wrong and what these two senators are doing is what’s wrong.

Three time world champion boxer, Hector Camacho died the past weekend from a gunshot wound to his face. He was a charismatic boxer, whose out of the ring personality is what many will remember. His record of 79-6-3 speaks for itself as to his ability. He will be missed because he gave boxing something that few fighters do, a personality to remember, and a man who kept it real. Hopefully, his critics will not find it necessary to speak about his flaws. He will be missed.
